About us
Patient Test Solutions, Inc is a CLIA laboratory for molecular diagnostics and next-generation sequencing at 500 Mercury Drive, Sunnyvale. We share that office space with Atila BioSystems. Testing here exclusively uses their reagents, with quality support. Accounts, accession, and the report belong to this laboratory — not to a reagent company.
Three things to know
We perform and report validated molecular PCR and sequencing. Clinicians and patients deal with this laboratory.
Clinical work exclusively uses Atila BioSystems reagents, with quality support. That is a supply arrangement. It is not a joint laboratory and it is not a partnership.
We share the office space. Medical direction, quality release, and the signed report stay with Patient Test Solutions, Inc.
Science, development, and research
New laboratory-developed tests are built on this bench before they are listed. Research sits beside routine reporting so the menu grows from data generated in this laboratory.
Accuracy, precision, and intended use are demonstrated before a test is offered.
Laboratory-developed tests are designed and verified here before a clinician can order them.
Method studies sit next to routine reporting, in this laboratory, rather than in a separate site.
MolDX and Z-codes
Many laboratories stop at the kit insert. When Medicare’s MolDX program asks for a technical assessment or a DEX Z-code, the file has to come from the laboratory that performs the test. We revise the method on this bench and assemble that file here. A listing on this website is not a coverage guarantee.
Primers, workflow, and claims are revised in this laboratory until the test can be defended.
Validation data is generated here so the laboratory-developed test stands on this laboratory’s file.
We pursue MolDX technical assessment and DEX Z-codes when billing requires them. Approval is not promised by this page.
